Could you share a brief introduction about yourself, where you are in the world, and what you’re currently up to?

I’m a multimedia artist and research enthusiast from rural North Carolina. I live in Baltimore now, and in-between stops on tour as a DJ, I’ve been reading a lot about international cyberwarfare.

What’s your favorite way to start the day.

I wake up at 10am and boot up a fighting game immediately after drinking coffee. Tekken 8 or Melty Blood: Type Lumina.

What are some tools you can’t live without?

The Ableton Push 2 is the backbone of my career. I need it to make music or I’d die.

Are there any books that have had significant impact on you, the way you think, and how you approach the world?

I don’t know if this counts but I loved this Wing Chun/MMA sparring breakdown video.

Black Life, Red Planet is my new favorite! It’s my best work to date I think.

First step someone should take if they want to be doing something similar to you?

Look inward. I don’t mean it in a egotistical way either — I really mean it in a philosophically empathetic way. Being mindful and aware of both your shortcomings and strengths goes a long way.

What does the future hold for you, what do you have planned?

Grad school in the fall. I’m going to get my Master’s and then try to find out how to get some consistent non-entertainment income lmfao.
